I don’t know whether to blame Iron Man, Marguerite Henry, or the muse for this new plotbunny, but I have to blame something. Grrr.  Total AU, and it even came with a title, which I’m not going to put here because it gives too much away, but–sheesh.

I didn’t need this.  I really didn’t!

Gerald McCullouch is apparently either courageous or crazy. Or possibly both.  This is terrific!  I had no idea he boxed.

Okay, I’m sure you remember Liev Schreiber as Mike Keppler on CSI. I admit that my exposure to him was limited to those episodes and an airplane viewing of Love in the Time of Cholera The Painted Veil, in which I primarily remember his character as an ass.

He’s playing Sabretooth in the new Wolverine movie.  Sabretooth.

My brain hurts.

‘Frozen’ stars could shed light on dark matter – space – 24 June 2008 – New Scientist: — This reminds me of Fred’s line from So You Want to Be a Wizard, about burning forever but learning nothing from it.

CSI really is sci-fi, you know

A silly bunny leapt upon me earlier today, and Hence is the result. Call it a very, very, very post-ep for The Grave Shift, rated G. And many thanks to Cincoflex, who figured out the ending for me!

Cincoflex talked me into posting this.  Call it another post-ep for Way to Go; rated G, and oddly enough, not GSR.

Okay.  The main ringtone on my cellphone used to be the Close Encounters of the Third Kind theme, not from any great love of the film (I’ve only seen it once) but because the Doctor Who theme wasn’t available until recently and that was about the only sci-fi-themed ringtone I could put up with.  I use my cellphone as an alarm just about every day, so that scrap of music got played several times most mornings, at least.

It’s been a couple of months since I switched over to the Doctor.  But this week I picked up a streaming radio station that plays soundtrack music, and just now it ran through the Close Encounters theme.

And every time those five notes played, my older cat would lift her head and squint at me, clearly disturbed from her nap attempt.  😀  I had no idea that my cat had adapted to my alarm…

It’s bandwagon time, snort. If You Love is CSI, GSR, and rated G. And definitely has spoilers for One to Go, so don’t read if you haven’t seen!

I just want to say thank you to everyone who left me such kind messages in my last entry (LJ). Thank you for your sympathy, your stories, your offers of an ear or a shoulder, your cyberhugs. It means so much to me that people who never even met Bernice care.

It always takes time, grieving does. But to slightly misquote, the pain now is part of the happiness then. That’s the deal.

Thank you.
